There seems to be three choices that are proposed these days. Many people
believe in an exclusive Christianity. Under this ides, salvation is exclusively for
those who make a confession of faith in Jesus Christ as they follow the biblical
plan of salvation.
Others find that idea much too rigid. They propose instead an inclusive
Christianity. Their idea is that people can be saved by Christ without placing faith
in Him or without ever even hearing of Him. Such people can still be saved by
Christ and only by Christ (so the theory goes) as long as they respond positively
to whatever light of God's revelation that are aware of.
Others hold a pluralistic view. They say Christianity may be "right for me," but
others religions are equally "right for others." We can be saved by Christ, but (so
the theory goes) other can be saved by Muhammad or Buddha just as well.
There is no doubt: the Christianity that God established on Pentecost (Acts 1:8)
is an exclusive Christianity.
